Raiders Announce New Def Coordinator

The Quad City Raiders are pleased to announce that Eric Johnson has accepted the position of Defensive Coordinator. Coach Johnson is moving into this position after working as a player-coach under new head Coach Clifton Neugent last season. As a player, Eric was a very physical impact player that brought grit and veteran experience to the Raider defense. Prior to coming to the Raiders in 2017, Eric played for the now-defunct Quad City Wolfpack where he was able to rank in the top 10 in league tackles while missing three games during the season.

Currently, Coach Johnson is already honing his coaching skills by acting as the defensive coordinator for the 8-man Muscatine Firehawks of the MA8FL league. He also acts as coach and mentor to Eddie Hamilton, a dynamic young boxer fighting out of the Quad Cities.

Coach Johnson has strong roots in the Quad City area with his wife and five children. He works for the Silvis School District and is driven by his family and his faith.
